Pet friendly accommodation in Margaret River
Caves Road Chalets is one of the few pet-friendly holiday spots in the Margaret River region. We warmly welcome dogs and other pets, just let us know before you book in, so we can be ready for your furry friend’s arrival.
Why pets love Caves Road Chalets
Our chalets are set on 64-acres on stunning natural bush land, making it the perfect place for your four-legged friend. We do ask that you keep your pup on a lead, as this protects the local wildlife. However, there are so many beautiful trails to explore, you and your dog will absolutely love it.
If you do need to leave your pet at the chalets for any reason, we also have special enclosed runs, which are safe and secure.
Our Pet Policy
As big animal lovers, we do everything we can to make sure your pet is happy and comfortable at our chalets. So you know what to expect, we’ve listed our ‘Pet friendly policy’ below. If you have questions that are not answered here, please contact us.
Do I need to tell you I am bringing my pet?
We do ask that you let us know about your pet while making your booking with Caves Road Chalets. Most pets are accepted, but in some cases, we are unable to accommodate certain breeds of dog. Please let us know how many dogs you are bringing, and their breeds, when booking online.
How much does it cost to bring my pet?
We charge $11 per night, per dog. For other animals, please contact us and we will send you a quote as soon as we can.
How many dogs can I bring?
We allow a maximum of 2 dogs per chalet. For other kinds of pets, just ask and we’ll let you know how many are allowed.
What if my dog is barking or howling when I am out?
If your dog is barking, howling or stressed when you are out, we do ask that you take him or her along with you. We thank you for your understanding!
What if I want to leave my dog at the chalet?
We do have enclosed dog runs, where your pup can be housed while you’re at a function or event that does not allow animals. Dogs are not allowed inside the chalet while you are out.
Can my dog go anywhere in the chalet?
We do ask that you keep your furry friend off the couches and beds. Dogs are also not allowed on the second storey of your chalet or in the bedrooms. Thank you in advance for respecting our doggy house rules!
What if my dog makes a mess?
If your dog does access the areas he is not meant to, or makes a mess beyond what we would normally have to deal with, we will have to deduct an additional cleaning fee from your credit card. Thank you for your understanding!
Why does my dog have to remain on a lead?
Respecting native wildlife is very important to us, especially because our property sits on 64-acres of natural bush land. The native animals that call our property home must be protected, and are a big part of the beauty of our special sanctuary.
Is there anywhere my dog can run free?
Yes. Across from the chalets there is plenty of land for your dog to run free. Just ask us when you arrive and we’ll point you in the right direction.
Are there trails where I can walk my dog?
Yes! There are many wonderful trails on our property and throughout the Margaret River region. We’re happy to share some of the more picturesque spots with you. There are also dog-friendly beaches, where you can let your dog off the lead.
